Chefs Walk 2016 Serves Up Exciting New Menus and Music
Food and Drink, Live Music, Dancers, and more!

CHAMBERSBURG, PA (April 21, 2016) – Cumberland Valley School of Music (CVSM) presents the 8th Annual Neighborhood Chefs Walk, a celebration of food and drink, music, and community, taking place on June 4, 2016, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.  Chefs Walk is a food and music crawl with local chefs, beer and wine tastings, a silent auction, and over 50 local musicians performing along Alexander Avenue in Chambersburg, PA.

“The Chefs Walk is a fabulous way to start the summer,” said Paula Hepfer, Executive Director of CVSM.  “The atmosphere is electric and relaxed at the same time.  It is truly enjoyable for people of all ages!”

This year’s event features seven dining stations from area chefs and restaurateurs who will be preparing and serving their unique culinary delights.  Participating chefs and menu themes are as follows:

Amer Chaudhry and Dan Kalinich are new additions to this year’s chef lineup.  Chaudhry runs the Falafel Shack at the North Square Farmers Market in Chambersburg, PA.  He has prepared the event’s first entirely vegan menu and uses organic chickpeas for the falafel, hummus, and Chana Masala.  Kalinich, who comes from a family of chefs and foodies, has a “just for fun” food cart and also offers catering equipment rental.

Wine and beer sampling stations will be there to accompany the diverse menu options at Chefs Walk.  This year’s participating wineries are Jan Zell Wines (Chambersburg, PA), Hermann J. Wiemer Vineyard (Dundee, NY), Tuscarora Mountain Winery (Chambersburg, PA) and Shade Mountain Winery (Middleburg, PA).  There will be beer tastings from Roy Pitz Brewery (Chambersburg, PA) and more!

Event entertainment features four stages of live music, strolling musicians, and the Hub City Lindy Hop Dancers.  Local musicians will perform a variety of music genres including rock, jazz, Broadway, and more.  Please stay tuned for more updates as CVSM plans to announce the full lineup of performers in the next few weeks.

Advance discount tickets are now available at $50 per person if purchased by April 30. Tickets are $60 per person May 1 and after.  Proceeds benefit the Cumberland Valley School of Music (CVSM), a non-profit organization.  CVSM offers private and group music lessons as well as numerous classes, workshops, summer camps, and performance opportunities for students of all ages.
