The Cumberland Valley School of Music presents a
Big Band Jazz Concert on November 20th at Wilson College

GETTYSBURG, Pa. - The Cumberland Valley School of Music will present a concert featuring the Gettysburg College Sunderman Conservatory of Music's Jazz Ensemble at Thomson Alumnae Chapel, Wilson College, Chambersburg, PA, at 7:30 pm, November 20. The event is free or charge. 

Directed by Professor of Music John "Buzz" Jones, the Jazz Ensemble has
been performing continuously for 20 years. The group toured Greece and
Italy this past May and has performed at international jazz festivals in
Montreux, Switzerland, Vienne, France, Den Haage and the Netherlands.
The ensemble is a group of 22 musicians dedicated to preserving and
advancing America's indigenous musical art form. All styles of jazz are
performed, from big band swing through contemporary fusion. Jones earned
his D.M.A. degree at Temple University and has led the
regionally-acclaimed Buzz Jones Big Band for almost 30 years.

Gettysburg College is a highly selective four-year residential college
of liberal arts and sciences with approximately 2,600 students. It is
located on a 200-acre campus adjacent to Gettysburg National Military
Park in Pennsylvania. The college was founded in 1832.
