An American flag that flew over the U.S. Capitol on Christmas Day, 1987, Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity; donated by Sandy Powers Two views of a lawyer: one painted on wood and inset to appear framed reads; “Please don’t tell/my mother I’m a/lawyer./She think I play/piano at the/ bordello.” The other is a color photograph from a leaf of a 1608 manuscript commonplace book by Thomas Trevelyon held in the Folger Shakespeare Library: “The Lawyer” depicts a lawyer, beneath whom is a 6-line poem.
