Italian Wine-Tasting Dinner and Auction

An Italian Wine-Tasting Dinner and Auction will be held on Saturday, May 3, at 6:00 pm at Beaver Creek Country Club, 9535 Mapleville Road, Hagerstown, MD. Proceeds will benefit the performing arts programs offered by the Cumberland Valley School of Music programs at St. Maria Goretti High School.
The evening will feature a five course menu with wines carefully paired, a live and silent auction, and music. The wines, from various regions of Italy, will be described by an expert importer prior to each course.
The delicious menu, prepared by the chef at Beaver Creek Country Club, will include: Crab and Cheese Bruschetta, Bacon Wrapped Scallops, Spinach and Feta wrapped in phyllo; Chicken Florentine, Baby Green Beans with Roasted Shallots and Fennel; Penne Pasta with plum tomatoes, proscuitto and fresh mozzarella; Beef Tenderloin Medallions with port and peppercorn demi-glaze, and asparagus with lemon and dill; and Fruit compote.
In addition to entertainment, fine dining, and Italian wines, there will also both a live and silent auction conducted by award-winning auctioneer Denny Stouffer. Some of the more than 50 wonderful items available include a week at Hotel on the Cay, St. Croix, Virgin Islands; a week in private, waterfront home on the Chesapeake Bay; tickets to the Baltimore Orioles; a 5-Course Dinner for Eight with Jazz Piano; a Schwinn “Falcon” bicycle; gift certificates for dinners at area restaurants and for purchases at many stores; music performances by professional musicians; tickets to events and concerts; gift baskets; custom drawn portraits and artwork; handmade furniture, and much more
Tickets for the evening are $50 per person (or $35 without wines). Advance reservations are required.
