CVSM TO HOST ELEGANT DINNER DANCE WITH “A WINTER FANTASY" THEME ON SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 25 Made possible with generous support from F&M Trust The Cumberland Valley School of Music will celebrate it’s 11th Annual Elegant Dinner Dance on Saturday, February 25, 2006 starting at 6:00 pm at the Beistle Corporation Ballroom, Shippensburg, PA. This event – which in the past has drawn up to 600 people – will focus this year on “A Winter Fantasy” theme. Event chairs Diana Sponseller and Lucille Stence and the CVSM Board of Directors are working hard to ensure that this is the most entertaining evening yet. This year we will have some of the areas finest chefs preparing an amazing selection of exquisite food. Chefs participating include M.L. Carroll - The Lodge at Blue Ridge Summit; Kathy Pugh - Kathy’s Deli; Pat Young (7~P’s Deli & Catering); Tracey Metz and Brenda Kennedy - Premier Events; Shea Bard - Family Traditions Lighthouse; Ty Davidson - T-N-T Connection; and Mike Tosten and Ron Berger – Franklin County Career and Technology Center – Culinary Arts. Each caterer will have their own station in the beautiful decorated room, serving a wide variety of mouth-watering delicacies. As of this writing, the chefs are still firming up their menus, but you can be certain that this year’s selections will sensational! We will add details on the website as they become available. (Last year's menu is listed below.) After tasting all of the exquisite dishes, you will be entertained and dance to the incredible sound of the Heath Allen Orchestra, voted “Philadelphia’s #1 Party Band”. In fact, entertainment will start even before the doors open, as CVSM faculty member cellist Camilo Perez-Mejia will perform as guests arrive. In addition to entertainment and fine dining, there will also be a raffle of fine jewelry and a silent auction featuring more than 50 wonderful items, including a private flight from Hagerstown to New York City for a very special dinner; one week vacation on Beaver Lake in Eureka Springs, Arkansas; a night lodging at several hotels; golf packages; several gift certificates for dinners at area restaurants; music performances by professional musicians; tickets to events; DVD players; floral arrangements; gift baskets; and many other fine items.Tickets for the evening are $80.
